Bluetongue in the dairy barn: the concern of every dairy farmer. Our customer from Aarsele in Belgium was not spared either. Remarkably, all nine infected cows came from a stable with limited ventilation. In contrast, the stable with natural side ventilation on all four side walls - with no blind spots - remained completely free of infections. He chose to combine natural ventilation with fans and climate control.
"From experience, I have found that a barn that is fully open on all four sides really offers its advantages. It is clear that the risk of Bluetongue is significantly reduced and our animals are healthier." Says the customer.

Folding System Fast and Bisondoor Heavy
At the front of the stable, a combination of our Folding System Fast and the robust Bizondoor Heavy was chosen. This part of the building is set up as a straw barn with a straw blower. To prevent dust and straw from accumulating and blocking side ventilation, the Folding System Fast was deliberately chosen. Because the system folds up neatly, no dust or straw is left behind and ventilation continues to work smoothly.
The Bisondoor Heavy allows vehicles to drive in and out of the barn easily, which is ideal for machine mucking out. Thanks to its sturdy design, the gate can withstand intensive daily use perfectly.

Maxi System Heavy with extra windbreak net
On the east and west sides of the building, our Maxi Heavy was chosen. As the building features large openings, this system provides the ideal solution. In combination with a climate computer, the adjustable side ventilation is controlled fully automatically, day and night. This continuously optimises the stable climate, contributing to the health and well-being of the cows.
The customer chose to finish this system with bird netting, combined with white extra windbreak nets. These additional options add an aesthetic touch to the overall system.

Our Middletube System was mounted at the rear of the stable building. Thanks to the simple design and the integrated supply of fans, this system is not only user-friendly, but also particularly easy to maintain. Ideal for those who opt for quality without unnecessary complexity. This system opens from bottom to top.
