ABBIfan XXP-2 - benefits at a glance
- Energy-efficient
- No frequency control
- Durable
- More quiet
- Low maintenance
Energy-efficient
The successful, energy-efficient ABBIfan 140-X motor is now equipped with the most modern motor technology, in particular a directly driven permanent magnet motor with built-in electronics. This makes the motor even more energy-efficient than its predecessor ABBIfan XXP-1. Savings of 30% to 70% have been measured compared to other fans.
No frequency control
The permanent magnetic DC motor of the ABBIfan XXP-2 does not require frequency control to control its speed. This means that no disturbances can occur on cow detection, concentrate feeding stations and separation boxes.
Durable
The propeller is mounted directly on the shaft of the engine. This eliminates the traditional belt transmission. The parts will wear less quickly, which makes this fan very durable. Moreover, this construction makes the fan significantly quieter.
Low maintenance
The fan requires little maintenance. Only the bearing blocks should be lubricated once a year.
Placement of the fans
Depending on the type of stable, together with a Vervaeke ventilation specialist, we look at how best to hang the fans.
Here we distinguish two types of ventilation, which are also sometimes combined.
Length ventilation
Each 14 to 15 metres, a fan is suspended to keep the air moving along the entire length of the stable. The fans are mounted at a height of at least 2.70 m.
The fans are best hung above the feed fences and longitudinal sunbeds of the stable.
Cross ventilation
For modern livestock houses with a height of at least 4.30m and open sides, this type of fan can also be provided on the side walls. The fresh outside air is blown over the cows in this way.
Because the animals usually eat and lie in the length of the stable, a large surface of the cow is cooled.
In lower stables remarkable results were achieved with fans that were hung more inwards.
Climate computer
This fan can be directly connected to a Stienen climate computer.
