Construction and operation

The folding system is powered by an engine at the top. Safety belts are mounted to this axle across the entire lenght of the system, retracting the fabric smoothly. Because the fabric folds rather than rolls up at the bottom, no lower engine is needed. This simplifies the mechanics: only 1 twin engine per 100m is needed. This means that there is no risk of entrapment!

The system is mounted to the existing structure in its entirety, requiring only 20 cm at the top and 45 cm at the bottom.

The curtain wall may be operated using a motor.

Safety

Safe operation of our systems is extremely important to us. Since there is no bottom engine in our folding system, there is no risk of entrapment. A climate computer can be connected safely.

Fabric: wide range of colours per windbreak factor

The closing tarpaulin of the folding system consists of firmly welded horizontal wind tarpaulin strips and hems. We place the tubes that provide extra strength in these hems. These tubes also ensure that the cloth can be folded easily, tightly and evenly.  

May absolutely no rain or wind penetrate the windbreak net? Or do you prefer a more breathable fabric? We weld everything completely to order in our factory, allowing us to combine various types of windbreak mesh and tarpaulin. We strive to find the best solution for every project and application! 

Our windbreak nets are available in multiple colours per windbreak factor, all fire retardant (flammability class M2).

Extra windbreak net

The Folding System is also available with an extra windbreak net. The windbreak net is attached to an aluminium frame that we place in front of the curtain. Thanks to this mesh, the birds stay outside. Because we attach the bird net to the outside of the opening, the rain keeps the netting clean in a natural way.

The system with extra windbreak net is integrally attached to the existing construction and is tightly mounted between the existing beam and the wall, behind the system, with wooden slats. For this, we only need 20 cm at the top and 45 cm at the bottom. 
 
A folding system with extra windbreak net can be placed up to a height of 5 m.
