Construction and operation

The system is controlled from the centre, rolling the fabric upwards from this point.

When the central axle is activated, the sections above and below the axle roll up simultaneously. The system’s rigidity comes from this central aluminium axle. A tube is mounted at the bottom of the fabric for counterweight and guidance, allowing the fabric to retract smoothly. The Centre Axle System is sufficiently sturdy that storm bars only need to be fixed to the existing structure every 1.5 to 1.8 metres, with possible expansion to 5 to 6 metres. This gives the system a sharp look. The system is broadly applicable, for example, it is perfectly suited to feeding livestock.

The system is mounted to the existing structure in its entirety, requiring 10 cm at the top. A fixed surface is required at the bottom.

This system is also available with a lower tube drive. 

Controls

The system may be operated using a motor. 

Fabric: wide range of colours per windbreak factor

May absolutely no rain or wind penetrate the windbreak net? Or do you prefer a more breathable fabric? We weld everything completely to order in our factory, allowing us to combine various types of windbreak mesh and tarpaulin. We strive to find the best solution for every project and application! 

Our windbreak nets are available in multiple colours per windbreak factor, all fire retardant (flammability class M2).

Extra winbreak net

The Middletube system (also the one with the down tube drive) is available with an extra windbreak net. The windbreak net is attached to an aluminium frame that we place in front of the closing curtain. Thanks to this mesh, birds stay outside. When the system is automated, for example when using a remote control or a weather computer, the bird screen provides additional safety. Children no longer have access to the revolving reel, minimizing the risk of accidents. As the bird mesh is installed on the outside of the opening, rain will clean the mesh naturally.

The system with windbreak net is integrally attached to the existing construction; we only need 10 cm at the top and 35 cm at the bottom. 

This system with windbreak net is also available with a lower tube drive.
